Emergency Kit
Creating a small Emergency Pack is essential when you need to get out of your house in a rush. A pack should be loaded with essential items to last at least 72 hours, and you should have one for every family member. Creating these packs could be a great activity for a family night, and make sure to get the kids involved. If you don’t want to create them yourselves, you can purchase pre-loaded ones at places like The Ready Store, Quake Kare, or Shelf Reliance.
The kits should be updated at least every 6 months to make certain the food is fresh, medication isn’t expired and things like clothing, credit cards and medical information and emergency phone contacts are up to date.
