View Full Version : Moms should be ladies...

What is with all this 'slut-mom, couger town, pig' stuff going on. All the low rise jeans, tatoos, tight shirts, and words across the butt? Are you kidding me? There is nothing worse than a woman in her fifties trying to pull off this look that a seventeen year old should be wearing. And all this Ed Hardy stuff? I just saw a mom at the mall who was pushing 45 at least with these tight sweats which would have been cute on a 17 year old, that had a skull on the thigh and across her rear it said, 'beauty.' There was nothing beautiful about this woman. Not to be totally a byatch here but she looked like a trampo. She had a short jean jacket on with a tank top and flip flops. Now, I am for moms trying to snap it up. I am the first one to do this. But I know my limits. I think it is far sexier to be classy. You can be sexy without going over the top. And I want to have sex with my husband who is 46 not a boy who is 22. Do you think this is cute or cool to have these grandmas screwing around with these young boys in couger town? I think it is just stupid. Come on.
Another woman I saw today seriously had to be in her sixties and she was wearing a low-low top with her cleavage showing and I find that totally offensive. Really, cover yourself up grandma!
No mini-skirts after 50. That just has to be a rule.

I agree. It's gross. If I never hear the word cougar again I would be happy.
Even for the older women (like more like the late 60s or so) I miss seeing real grandmas around. Like my grandma wore a bun and her hair was grey and she wore little glasses and long skirts and she looked like a grandma.
Well, we'll see maybe I can bring that look back when I am older lol.

I am not saying you have to have a bun and a house dress. Look at Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep, and Diane Sawyer. They are examples of classy ladies who look sexy. Women in their forties I admire are Michelle Pfiefer, and Sandra Bullock. They look sexy but never stupid. Demi Moore and Madonna look like idiots I think. But thats just my humble opinion.

I couldn't agree more! If I have to question do I look classy or sluty I wouldn't even wear it. The way one dresses is a reflection on who they are.

My husband once said to me that there's two different kinds of women:
The women who have to dress like that to get attention.. And the women who don't have to.
The women who have to dress like that to turn a man's head aren't the one's that you'd want to chase. They're typically not worth having. (And, if you catch them, you usually wind up catching more than just the woman. LOL)
The woman who can turn a man's head without even having to show anything.. Well, those women are the ones that are worthy of pursuit.
Younger guys appreciate a girl showing a little skin because they're mostly just looking for 'fun' and they don't know any better yet. As they get older, they wise up and generally don't find it appealing anymore. There's no fun in a chase that's really not a challenge, is there?
There's something to be said for leaving some things to the imagination.

Thank you, Darla for starting this thread!! Unfortunately, I think you're preaching to the choir...LOL . I wish those that desperately need to read this were on HHC, but I'm sure they are not members. :0)

Ugh, that is the WORST! Sometimes my mom dresses wayyyyy too young for her age and it just doesn't work! My mom is beautiful and looks very, very young but it doesn't mean she has to dress like a teenager! I think it's sexier for a woman to show less skin and look great instead of letting it ALL hang out there. NOT ATTRACTIVE - just trashy!
I can't STAND the whole cougar thing! And don't get me started on women who dress(and usually act) like teenagers! It grosses me out. Women do not have to conquer young men or act like teens to be/seem powerful and attractive. Try being yourself and having real values, opinions and accomplishments to feel good about yourself.

I totally agree with Darla too and cannot stand all that cougar stuff. I have only seem the previews of Courtney Cox' new show Cougar Town but was disgusted and hope it gets cancelled.
