Hello Happy Housewives Club!

Okay, first thing you need to know about me: I’m very passionate about moms. We’re the center of the family and community. We make the house a home. Mothers are the glue that holds the society and the world together. Many moms are finding it increasingly difficult to stay at home with their children.

That is where I come in. I am so thrilled to be the new editor of the WAHM page. I am going to show you all how you can take your great idea and turn it into a successful business right from your kitchen.

Background:

When I was 17 and in college I started my first business. People said I couldn’t do it, but I’ve always been stubborn and ignored all of them. Within two months I had Cingular Wireless advertising on my online magazine.

After college I married my high school sweetheart and we had a daughter, Maya. The entrepreneur bug was still with me so I started a website for mom entrepreneurs, Mommy’s Company.com. Soon after that I started a social networking site, BusinessMom.net.

The sites took off and ended up getting press from television, print, and web media. The highest honor I received was when I was written up by my favorite business magazine, INC! I sold both businesses this year.

I contribute to Entrepreneur magazine and many parenting websites on the topic of working from home and business.

Because I love writing, I began working as a screenwriter from home this year. Can you tell I love projects/

I enjoy seeing moms making money while putting their families first. We all have gifts that can help us develop as human beings and bring in income. The only thing limiting yourself is your beliefs: If you want to sell your products out of your home, do it and do it well! There is no reason to be mediocre and make pennies. Work smart, pursue excellence, and bring in serious money.
