14 years ago, I became pregnant with my first son.  His father and I had been dating for four years.  We welcomed him into the world and we married a year later.  Ten months after we were married, we became parents again to another boy.  Unfortunately my marriage wouldn't survive four years.

While married, I worked part time and opposite hours of my husband. I never wanted the boys to be in daycare.  It took a toll on my marriage and we all paid the price.  When I was divorced, I went to work full time, and began going to school full time.  I have been blessed with parents who helped out everyday with caring for my boys.  It was the toughest, character building, darkest, exuberant, and turbulent time of my life. I learned so much during the time of being a single mother.

I prayed I would find a man that would share my goals and dreams with - a man that would love my children as if they were his own.  God sent me that man in 2001.  Lou and I met, fell in love and married in 2005. He wanted me to stay home full time.  I have never been happier in my life.  A year after being home, I found Darla's book.  It said everything I already believed, and lived.  Since joining the club in 2006, I have grown.  I have learned so much from the women in this group.  My life is so much fuller.  I love being a contributer on the website.  It gives me such satisfaction to know that I can help another woman.  I can't thank Darla enough for keeping this site going and can't thank the women of this club enough for helping me  to grow into the woman that I am today, and will continue to grow in the woman I will be tomorrow.
