About Stephanie:

Name: Stephanie Ouellette

State: Iowa

Kids: Emily, 8 and Luke, 5

Although I love being a stay-at-home mom, I am also an entrepreneurial person with a lot of energy and ideas. I have searched off and on for years to find something that I can do from home that doesn’t take up 40 hours a week.

I started a small scrapbook company five years ago with a $10,000 investment. I had a laser machine where I designed titles and captions from cardstock. I ran this business from home for four years before selling it last year for a nice profit.

Why do you want a work-at-home opportunity?

I would like to earn a decent income doing something I feel good about without sacrificing after-school/evening time with my family.

What is your favorite part of the Happy Housewives Club?

The Happy Housewives forum is always interesting. The place is always hopping!

About Krista:

Name: Krista Conway

State: Ohio

Kids: Ethan, 24 months, Ian 4 months

November, 12, 2005 changed my life forever. I was in labor most of the day, and by evening I knew I wouldn’t be able to go back to the 9 to 5. As the weeks went by I realized that I would have to go back to work in three weeks. Weeks went by and I began to panic. I couldn’t imagine leaving my baby. So I resigned.

Why do you want a work-at-home opportunity?

I now own a hosting company, a design business, and an internet marketing business. I would like to find something that has a great return for time spent. Working ten hours for $20 or $50 is not my idea of time well spent. I need something more profitable.

What is your favorite part of the Happy Housewives Club?

Advice. I spend a lot of time cruising the boards saying “Ah-Ha!” to myself as I read about these ladies: what they do, what they have done, suggestions on kids, marriage, sex, finances, etc.

About Julia:

Name: Julia Heath

State: California

Kids: Elliott, 16 months old

I was a latch-key kid and always dreamed that when I had my own children they would come home from school to a kitchen of the smells of fresh baked cookies. Luckily I have found a husband that allows me to raise our kid myself!

Why do you want a work-at-home opportunity?

The downside to a one income family is that we lack the funds necessary to go out and do interesting things instead of being cooped up. I hope to earn enough money to buy a membership to the aquarium and food that is nice too. I am excited about a job that only requires a few hours of each day and that I can actually do from home!

What is your favorite part of the Happy Housewives Club?

I love the Happy Housewives Club because I get to talk to so many women who have the same career goals as me, to be a happy housewife! I love the encouragement I get from the HHC members when I feel like sitting on my butt and doing nothing with my home and family. They are a great inspiration!
